In compliance with the Utah code, our campaign is not currently accepting donations during the state legislative interim session, as the law prohibits state legislators and state officials from receiving donations during this period and imposes a misdemeanor charge on donors. While we believe this law to be unconstitutional regarding federal campaigns, as it meddles with a federal election and limits free speech, we will abide by it to protect our donors until either the end of the legislative session or until we receive a clear opinion from the Lieutenant Governor or Attorney General’s office.
